About the BYD Dolphin
The Dolphin is BYD's affordable city hatchback and one of the cheapest proper EVs you can buy - yet it uses the same Blade LFP battery technology as the flagship models. Its compact size hides a surprisingly roomy cabin thanks to the short overhangs and flat floor of the e-Platform 3.0.
It is a favourite second car and first EV: cheap to run, easy to park, and quietly connected to BYD's own cloud. For owners who would rather not have their every trip logged by the manufacturer, an independent tracking layer on a spare Android phone is a simple answer.
Where to mount a tracking phone in the Dolphin

Our approach is the opposite. Tracking runs entirely on a phone you own, and your location history lives in your own SpySat account. We do not pass it to the car maker's servers and we do not send it to any foreign - including Chinese - data centre. You decide who can see where your car is.
